How we work

Working With Tru Elite Connect

This page is a plain-language overview of how projects generally work — payments, revisions, ownership, handoff, and ongoing website care. Project-specific scope, pricing, payment schedule, deliverables, and terms are confirmed in your proposal or service agreement.

If a signed agreement includes different project-specific terms, the signed agreement controls.

Payment & project start

Standard website projects generally begin with a 50% non-refundable deposit, which reserves your project time and allows work to begin. The remaining balance is generally due before final launch or handoff.

Custom or larger projects may use a different milestone or payment schedule. When that is the case, the schedule is stated in your proposal.

Cancellations & refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once a project has been accepted and project time or work has been reserved or started.

If a client cancels after work has begun, completed and approved work, along with any additional amounts already due under the agreement, remains payable.

If Tru Elite Connect cancels a project, amounts paid for work that was not completed are refunded, subject to the signed agreement.

Revisions

Standard website packages include one revision round unless your proposal states otherwise.

Additional revisions, scope changes, or new features outside the approved scope may require an additional quote or fee. Larger and custom projects may have a different revision allowance stated in their proposal.

Client content & delays

Project timelines begin once the required payment, content, access, branding, images, approvals, and any other requested materials have been received.

Client delays pause the project timeline. Extended inactivity may require the project to be rescheduled based on current availability.

Website & deliverable ownership

After full payment, you own your client-provided content and the final custom deliverables created specifically for you, subject to any third-party platform, software, font, stock asset, template, integration, or licensing terms that apply.

Tru Elite Connect retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, internal processes, reusable systems, know-how, and materials that were not created exclusively for your project. Third-party software and platform code is owned by those providers, not by Tru Elite Connect.

Domain ownership

We recommend that you own and control your own domain registration account.

Tru Elite Connect can help purchase, connect, configure, or manage a domain, but the domain should remain under your ownership and control whenever practical.

Website access & handoff

Once a project is paid in full, Tru Elite Connect provides reasonable access and handoff to the client-owned website assets, credentials, content, and project materials that are available for transfer or access through the platform used for the project.

Your business should not be held hostage to ongoing agency services. Please note that third-party platform transfer and export limitations, along with licensing rules, still apply, and not every platform supports the same transfer or export methods.

Hosting, platform fees & ongoing website care

Ongoing website care and maintenance is optional unless your signed proposal specifically says otherwise. Cancelling Tru Elite Connect maintenance or support does not erase your ownership of your completed client-specific deliverables.

If your site relies on third-party hosting, platform subscriptions, domains, plugins, integrations, or other paid services, those fees may still need to remain active for the site to keep functioning. Responsibility for ongoing third-party fees is documented for your specific project.

If monthly support stops

Tru Elite Connect's ongoing edits, updates, monitoring, maintenance, support, and other recurring services stop when the related paid plan ends.

You keep the ownership rights described above. Any hosting, platform, domain, or integration fees that are separate from Tru Elite Connect support may still need to be paid to the appropriate provider.

Post-launch support

Standard website projects include 14 calendar days of basic post-launch support for genuine launch-related issues, unless your signed proposal states otherwise.

New pages, new features, redesign requests, new integrations, and other scope additions are not launch-related fixes and may require a new quote or a maintenance plan.

Project-specific agreements

The proposal or service agreement for each project controls the exact scope, price, payment schedule, timeline, revision allowance, ownership and handoff details, support, and any project-specific exceptions.
